How it works

How cannabis is sold in San Diego

San Diego's cannabis rule is arithmetic. The municipal code allows 36 storefront outlets, four in each of the nine council districts, each with a conditional use permit. The city's list from October 2025 showed 26 legally open outlets, and Verdex lists 25 today.

Why is the map a tour of business parks?

Zoning keeps stores out of most retail streets. Sorrento Valley has Cake House (10150 Sorrento Valley Rd), Buzz Cannabis (10715 Sorrento Valley Rd) and Torrey Holistics on Roselle Street. Around Kearny Mesa, Catalyst is on Convoy Street and Mankind on Miramar Road. Camino del Rio South holds March and Ash and a second Buzz, and A Green Alternative is on Roll Drive in Otay Mesa. Each district has its own four slots, so coverage is uneven, and you should plan for a car.

What else is local?

Public use is banned and hotels can prohibit it. Delivery and state limits are covered on the California hub, and the licensing guide shows how to confirm a seller.
