How Verdex checks a seller

Four checks behind
every score

Read the methodology
  1. Step 01

    License check

We look each seller up on the official register — cannabis, health or pharmacy regulator — and note fines, suspensions and recalls.

  2. Step 02

    Lab transparency

Batch-specific lab results customers can open, clear pricing, and a named owner with real contact details.

  3. Step 03

    Reviews

Verified reviews left on Verdex count first. Until there are enough, large public rating samples, adjusted for sample size.

  4. Step 04

    Scam watch

Clone sites, fake pharmacies and unlicensed sellers go on the public Red List — only with an official or credible source.

Registers we check against
  • Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED)
  • California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC)
  • U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) — marijuana rescheduling actions
  • Health Canada (Cannabis Act; producer licensing)
  • Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)
  • B.C. Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB)
  • Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC)
  • Gouvernement du Québec (Cannabis Regulation Act)
  • Government of Nova Scotia (Cannabis Control Act)
  • MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency)
