How cannabis is sold in Lompoc

Lompoc never capped its dispensaries, so a long list here says little about which shops are worth the drive.

Check the unit letter. Royal Healing Emporium is licensed at 721 W Central Ave, Unit D, not the street number alone.
Read the compass point. California Coastal Cannabis is at 423 West Ocean Avenue and MJ Direct at 715 East Ocean Avenue, two different ends of the same road.
Look for the lettered streets. One Plant (119 A St N), SoCal's Choice (118 H St S) and Perfect Union (124 S J St) sit on the town's lettered north-south grid.
Expect the local tax in the price. Measure D2018 set a city tax of six cents per dollar of non-medical retail sales.

Why is there no cap?

On 17 October 2017 the council approved its cannabis ordinance 4 to 1, with Mayor Bob Lingl opposed, and dropped a proposed limit of four dispensaries. Councilman Victor Vega argued that a business that misjudged demand would simply fail, Noozhawk reported. The rules were then finished in Ordinances 1640(17), 1645(18) and 1646(18).

What did voters add?
