Why does no seventh store appear?
The city says its ordinance sets a maximum of six permits and that it no longer accepts applications for new retail permits. Divide the population by the cap and one licence serves roughly 8,500 residents, and any new name would have to take over an existing permit.
What is off Highway 111?
STIIIZY and Royal Highness (Suite 205) share the highway with Palm Royale Collective Too. The Leaf is on El Paseo at 73740, the shopping street, while Catalyst sits on Berkey Drive at 39420 and Palm Royale Collective on Gerald Ford Drive at 75048. The register gives licences and addresses but no scores. With three listings on Highway 111, half the city's retail supply sits on one road, and Palm Royale runs two of the six, one on the highway and one on Gerald Ford Drive. The state layer is summarised in our California section.
Cannabis in Palm Desert: questions
Does Palm Desert allow cannabis lounges?
The sources Verdex holds cover storefront retail only. Nothing in the city's storefront retail page or the register indicates a lounge licence, so treat on-site use as unavailable until the city says otherwise.
Are all six listed stores permitted by the city?
The count matches: six permits are the maximum and six businesses are recorded as operating. The register does not say which permit belongs to which address.
