A tired market

The Palm Springs Post called the 2023 count one of the most saturated retail markets in California. Four Twenty Bank, the downtown dispensary that billed itself as the world's largest consumption lounge, closed at the end of May 2025 after its owner cited black-market competition and high costs, according to Cannabis Law Report. City staff had suggested a ceiling nearer 15 shops. Hotels can ban use on their premises, so ask before you open a bag. The buying guide for California explains the licence check.
