Verdex is an independent guide to licensed cannabis sellers. These are the rules we work by.

Independence

We don’t sell cannabis, we don’t take commissions on sales and we don’t accept payment for ratings, rankings or reviews. Businesses can’t pay to be listed, to rank higher or to be removed from the Red List.

Sources

Every factual claim on a seller, strain or Red List page is tied to a source we list on that page: license registers, regulator notices and court records, lab reports, the business’s own published information, and published consumer reviews. When sources disagree, we say so.

How the Red List works

  • An entry needs an authoritative source: a regulator, a court, the police, a public health authority, a consumer-protection body such as the Better Business Bureau, or a named news investigation.
  • We describe each case in the same terms as the source. A warning letter is described as a warning letter — not as fraud.
  • Businesses named on the list can reply. We publish substantive replies and update entries when the situation changes; resolved cases are marked as resolved.

Reviews and comments

Reviews and comments from visitors are read by a moderator before they are published. We remove reviews that are fake, paid for or incentivized, written by the business or its competitors, abusive, or that contain personal data. A receipt or order number earns the “verified purchase” mark; the receipt itself is never published.

Our guides explain rules and research in plain language. They are not legal or medical advice. Cannabis laws change often — check the current rules where you are before you buy.

Use of AI tools

Our editors use AI-assisted tools to help gather public records and draft summaries. Every published page is checked against the sources listed on it, and no review, quote or rating is generated.
