Why is the list this short?

The register splits West Hollywood into two entries, and the other holds eight stores, which puts the city at nine in all. Applicants for its lounge licences were judged on innovation and social equity. Treat the pair as one market of nine listings. The Artist Tree describes itself as a retail store with an edibles-only lounge, and the city's licensing scheme is the reason a lounge exists here at all, since Los Angeles next door bans them.

Where to go for the rest?

The fuller list, with the Santa Monica, Sunset and La Brea Boulevard clusters, is on the main West Hollywood page. The state's own rules sit in the California section. The Artist Tree has no Verdex score yet. The Original Cannabis Cafe, the city's first lounge, won final approval in July 2019 and took that name in December 2019.
