Set provincially: generally allowed where tobacco smoking is in Ontario and B.C. (with exceptions); smoking and vaping banned in all public spaces in Quebec; no public consumption in New Brunswick; private dwellings only in PEI; restricted in Alberta and Nova Scotia; not in vehicles.

Max 10 mg THC per edible package; extracts max 10 mg per unit and 1,000 mg per package; topicals max 1,000 mg per package. Quebec bans edibles in the form of candy, desserts or chocolate.

From three stores to fifteen
Ottawa council opted in to retail cannabis in January 2019, and just three stores were open when retail began on April 1, 2019, per CBC. Verdex now lists 15 with Nepean addresses alone. Across the Ottawa River, Quebec raised its legal age to 21 in January 2020, sales in Gatineau fell and Ottawa's almost doubled, part of it thought to be Quebec shoppers crossing over, according to MJBizDaily.
