What did the council decide?
Council voted unanimously in January 2019 to tell the AGCO the town would accept a private store, The Review reported. The Long Sault bridge to Grenville, Quebec, puts Autoroute 50 minutes away, and Quebec set its cannabis age at 21, according to the same paper. That is my reading, not a survey result: the paper did not measure who shops here. Hawkesbury sits on the Ottawa River, which is the provincial boundary.
Nine stores for ten thousand people
On Main Street East: Bonjour High (299), a second Bonjour High (1500), Cannabis Dos (1210) and Connoisseur Culture (30 Suite 88). County Road 17 has Aces Cannabis (389) and One Plant (454). Cannabis Vape Depot is on John Street and Pop's on Spence Avenue. Two Bonjour High entries, 1,200 street numbers apart, mean the address decides, and Pop's and One Plant are brands found in many Ontario towns, so read the street. Provincial rules: Ontario.
