Why does Collingwood have no store limit?
Council voted on January 14, 2019 to allow stores after a public meeting, Collingwood Today reported. The town chose a policy statement endorsed by council, which names preferred locations and a 200 metre gap from parks and schools, but no legislation limits how many stores a municipality can host. Preference is not prohibition, so a store outside C1 and C2 is not automatically illegal.
Where do Collingwood's seven trade?
First Street holds three: Pop's (151), Treetz (280) and Value Buds (70). Balsam Street has Canna Cabana and Spiritleaf, Best Buds Forever is on Hurontario and Jay's Cannabis on Hume Street. Anything that applies across Ontario is covered on the provincial page.
