Where the county says no and the city says yes
Central Organics is at 780 SW 4th Street, Green Knottz at 108 SW D Street and Pioneer Cannabis Co. at 141 South 5th. Diamondtree is on North Highway 26 and Plantae on Highway 97.
The reservation next door
The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs have tried to open their own store. A June 2024 tribal vote missed its quorum, with 866 of 3,673 eligible voters turning out against the 1,225 required, OPB reported. A second referendum, set for 16 June 2025, was postponed by a memo dated 10 June from Tribal Council Chairman Dennis White III. The store was projected at $1.2 million in gross sales, according to the referendum notice the Madras Pioneer reported.
We found no result after that, so treat any Warm Springs store as unconfirmed. Highways 26 and 97 both cross Madras and hold two of the five city addresses, and none of the five entries is labelled as a lounge. State limits and local taxes are dealt with in the Oregon guide pages.
Cannabis in Madras: questions
Can I buy cannabis on the Warm Springs reservation?
Not from a store we can confirm. We found no vote approving retail sales, and the last referendum we found was postponed in June 2025.
Does the Jefferson County opt-out close the Madras shops?
No. A county opt-out reaches only unincorporated land, and the city of Madras has licensed retailers on its own streets.
