Who approved these shops?
Community Board 5, at 61-23 Myrtle Ave, reviews applications for Ridgewood and Glendale. Its committee heard nine businesses seeking to open across Ridgewood and Glendale, QNS reported, and moved not to oppose Late Bloomers on 17 August 2023, and in January 2024 rejected three applicants and greenlit four, QNS reported. Boards only advise; the state licenses. Crossing from Brooklyn changes no rule, since the city allows shops on both sides. New York's buying limits are on its state page. Verdex scores none of the five entries in Ridgewood, and nearby Middle Village got Queens's ninth adult-use shop in March 2024, QNS reported.
