How did the first shop begin?

In November 2023 a temporary outlet, the Cannabis Grower's Showcase, opened at 4:20 p.m. at 320 North Main in the former Patients' Pharmacy, the Post-Journal reported. Lifted later opened there as a licensed store, and the Chautauqua Region chamber held its ribbon-cutting. New York's 13% retail tax includes 4 points for local governments, and Jamestown's decision not to opt out keeps it in line for that share, WRFA reported. Jamestown's council took no action on a proposal to opt out, so shops were allowed. The showcase ran through the end of 2023. See the New York hub for buying rules.
