How cannabis is sold in Colonie

Colonie is both a town and a village, and each made its own cannabis decision in 2021.

Check which Colonie. The Village of Colonie held its own hearing on 4 October 2021, and the Town Board voted separately, according to their minutes and the Times Union.
Skip the lounge. The Town Board voted unanimously in September 2021 to ban on-site consumption while keeping retail, the Times Union reported.
Compare the Wolf Road pair. Mister Greens at 81 Wolf Rd opened on 14 November 2024, according to DASNY, and Cannabique is at 243.
Tell the two Central Avenue doors apart. The HighEnd is at 1410 and Legacy Dispensary at 1839.

What about Albany Shaker Road?

Green Leaf Wellness Co. is at 971 Albany Shaker Road, and is the only listed store off Wolf and Central. Every listing has a licence and address but no score in Verdex.

Why no lounge?

Council members worried about people leaving a lounge to drive, as no roadside test for cannabis impairment matches a breathalyzer. In the same county, Guilderland opted out of both shops and lounges in October 2021 and later held a hearing on opting back in, the Times Union reported.
