Why no newcomers
The ordinance, which the city clerk's page quotes, lets only owners of medical marijuana businesses licensed and operating in good standing in Lakewood as of April 1, 2020 apply to run a retail store. So your choices are the medical operators that converted, and no new brand is coming. Colfax is the same road that runs through Denver, and two stores here, at 6900 and 10590 West Colfax, sit on it. Local taxes differ from Denver's, so compare receipts rather than shelf tags. The duplicate LivWell row is a data artefact of the register, not a second shop, and both point to the same door at 3600 South Wadsworth.
Colorado medical cards are issued only to residents and valid only in Colorado, so visitors buy on the retail side. The Colorado buying guide covers limits and the Colorado hub the rest of the state.
Cannabis in Lakewood: questions
Can a new retailer open in Lakewood?
Only if it held a medical marijuana licence in Lakewood on April 1, 2020, according to the city ordinance.
Why are there two LivWell listings at 3600 South Wadsworth?
One is a duplicate row in the register for the same address; the second slug carries what looks like a medical licence number.
