If there is no cap, what stops a seventh?

Buffers and parking. On 27 November 2020 the council voted 6-1 to drop a proposed limit of one shop per 1,000 residents, and raised the buffer from other shops and schools to 1,000 feet, adding parks and treatment facilities, the Post Independent reported. Mayor Jonathan Godes cast the no vote.

The earlier case shows the other lever. On 22 June 2020 council refused The Kind Castle a permit at 2114 Grand Avenue by 5-2. The 738-square-foot shop had 10 parking spaces, sat 3,000 feet from its nearest competitor and 650 feet from Columbine Christian School, and staff recommended approval. Parking and traffic decided it. The Kind Castle is listed today on Wulfsohn Road. Beyond city limits, the Colorado overview applies.

Cannabis in Glenwood Springs: questions

Are two Green Joint stores really separate?

The register carries two licences for The Green Joint, at 716 and 1030 Grand Avenue, so it counts them as two stores.

Can I buy in Glenwood and use it in Aspen or Carbondale?

Buying is legal in the state's licensed shops. Where you may use it depends on the destination, and public use is prohibited across Colorado.
