Court test
Colorado Supreme Court, April 2017

What does half a mile do?

It spaces the six listed stores: Callies on West 104th Avenue, Doc's Apothecary on East 112th, Fresh Cannabis on Cherokee Street, Green Tree on Melody Drive, Igadi on Washington Street and Discrete Greens on Claude Court. Further tests apply: 200 feet from homes, 500 from child care and parks, 1,000 from schools and colleges. Northglenn licenses through hearings, not a lottery.

Why was Northglenn in court?

The Cannabist reported in April 2017 that the Colorado Supreme Court backed the city's local licensing ordinance in a case brought by Rocky Mountain Retail Management. The case gave the city's own licensing process the court's backing. Statewide buying rules: Colorado.
