Look up a licenseHow cannabis is sold in Glendale
Glendale charges $25 to apply for a marijuana licence, according to the city, and the whole city is 0.571 square miles.
How many stores fit in a place this small?
The four on the register are Kind Love (4380 East Alameda), Cherry Peak (4601 East Mississippi), Life Flower (4966 Leetsdale Drive) and The Green Solution (4151 East Kentucky). That is about seven stores per square mile for 4,613 residents. The city's page names no numeric cap. The spacing rule does the limiting: a centre may not sit within 1,000 feet of another medical or retail establishment, a daycare, a school or a park.
Who licenses and when do stores close?
Glendale's own City Council is the local licensing authority. It required licences from 1 August 2014, and a store must be closed to the public between midnight and 7 a.m. The city needs a copy of the state application, or a certificate of good standing for existing operators, plus proof of premises. For the state's side, see the Colorado rules.
