A decade of no

Colorado voted to legalise in 2012, but Grand Junction voters approved retail stores only in 2021, and the first opened in 2023, according to the Colorado Sun and the Daily Sentinel. The last of the ten, Kai Dispensary, opened on March 1, 2025, the Sentinel reported.

Horizon Drive and the rest

Three stores sit on Horizon Drive, the road to the regional airport: Native Roots at 683, Grand Junction Greenery at 762, and The Green Horizon at 739, according to the Sentinel. The rest are in town: Golden Rookie on Grand Avenue, Kai on South Avenue, Colorado Weedery on Struthers Avenue, Canna Care on Fischer Avenue, The Buzz on North 3rd Street and Lucky Me on Patterson Road.
