Why did the first shop take until autumn 2022?

Recreational sales were banned here from the start of Colorado's market in 2014. Voters approved a marijuana sales tax in November 2020, the council let its own moratorium lapse in February 2021, and Ordinance 2149 followed on 16 March 2021. A lawsuit briefly paused the first lottery, according to Westword. Magnolia Road opened the first store on 24 October 2022, the Denver Post reported.

The five the register lists

Magnolia Road is at 1995 West Midway Boulevard and Livwell at 137 Nickel Street. Callie's is at 291 East Flatiron Crossing Drive. The register also has Brmfld Confidential on Teller Street and The Dab on West 121st Avenue. Broomfield is both a city and a county, so there is no separate county office to consult. The Colorado section holds the state framework.

Cannabis in Broomfield: questions

Can you use cannabis on site in Broomfield?

The city's licensing page describes store licences only. It does not mention consumption lounges, so treat on-site use as unavailable.

Why does the register show five when three were licensed first?

Later licences followed the first draw, and the city offered a second round in 2022. Verdex cannot see which round each store came from.
