On December 17, 2018, Guelph council voted 10 to 3 to allow private cannabis stores, according to Global News, after a city phone survey found almost two-thirds of residents in favour, according to Global News. The same day, Centre Wellington, home to Fergus and Elora, opted out, and the AGCO's list still shows it that way. Verdex lists 23 AGCO-authorized stores in Guelph.
You need to be 19 to buy, and a sale caps at 30 grams. All are register entries without scores yet, including Highlife Cannabis Guelph on Wyndham Street North, FIKA Cannabis on Gordon Street and J. Supply Co. Guelph on Gordon Street.

Guelph's stores line a few roads. Stone Road West holds Bud's Cannabis Store at 370 and a Fire & Flower at 314, while Canna Cabana has two branches, at 106 Silvercreek Parkway N and 3 Woodlawn Road W. A second Fire & Flower is at 79 Clair Road East, and Highlife sits downtown on Wyndham Street North.
