Whitby, on Ajax's eastern border, opted out of private cannabis retail on January 21, 2019 and still shows as opted out on the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario's municipal list, so no store can open there. Ajax opted in. Verdex lists 13 AGCO-authorized stores along Kingston Road, Harwood Avenue, Bayly Street West, Westney Road South and Ravenscroft Road.

Bring photo ID: the minimum age is 19 and one sale tops out at 30 grams of dried cannabis or its equivalent. These are register entries without scores yet: 4K Cannabis on Bayly Street West, Canna Cabana on Kingston Road East, Holland Daze, Cannaverse, Green World and One Plant, which appears twice at separate addresses.

Early hours, delivery windows and the Pickering side

Ontario changed store hours on May 1, 2026: authorized stores may now open from 7 a.m. and must close by 11 p.m., the AGCO announced after a consultation. Delivery times stayed at 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. A listing that still says 9 to 11 may simply predate the change, so read the hours on the store's own page.

  • Kingston Road: three of our stores sit on it, at 65 and 170 Kingston Rd E and 20 Kingston Rd W.
  • Harwood Avenue: Cannaverse on Harwood Ave S and Green World on Harwood Ave N are the two on the north-south spine.
  • Pickering: Ajax's western neighbour opted in, according to the AGCO list, so its stores are the nearest alternative if you live near the boundary.

The AGCO issues store authorizations province-wide and keeps stores 150 metres from schools, so the local difference is mostly convenience. Stores that deliver must use their own employees and a private address. The OCS versus private stores guide compares delivery fees and windows, and the licence-check guide shows how to confirm a store. Provincial rules are on the Ontario hub.
