The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario's store map held about 1,860 authorized store addresses in September 2026, the largest privately run network in Canada. Every one is privately owned, buys its stock from the Ontario Cannabis Store and may open only between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. You must be 19 to enter, and one sale is capped at 30 grams of dried cannabis or its equivalent.

Verdex lists 1,803 of them, led by Paradise AIR on Sheppard Avenue East in North York and Nomade Cannabis on Dundas Street West in Little Portugal. Before you pick a shop, look for the provincial retail seal and the AGCO authorization certificate on display. A store without them is not one of these.

Where the stores cluster, and what delivery can mean

Verdex counts 154 stores in Toronto proper, then Scarborough (71), Mississauga (66), North York (65), Ottawa (64), London (63) and Hamilton (63), with Windsor at 48. That density means walking distance to several shops in most of Toronto, so the differences that matter are hours, pickup and delivery rather than whether a store exists. Budders on Dundas Street West in Mississauga advertises same-day local delivery and price matching, and Budbar Express on Wilson Avenue lists 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. hours.

  • Delivery: since March 15, 2022 an authorized store may offer curbside pickup and delivery, but only with its own employees, between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m., to a private place in Ontario. Third-party couriers are not allowed, and a store may not operate mainly as a delivery business, according to the AGCO.
  • Location: the AGCO cannot authorize a store within 150 metres of a school.
  • Prices: each store sets its own. The Ontario Cannabis Store is the sole wholesaler and the only legal online seller, so the same products appear on every shelf.

The market is large and still moving. According to the Ontario Cannabis Store, authorized stores sold more than 441 million grams and about $2.28 billion of cannabis in 2025. Because stores open and close all the time, our list and the AGCO map will not match exactly; confirm a shop on the map before you drive across town. The OCS versus private stores guide compares fees and delivery windows, and how to check a licence covers lookalike shops.

Questions about this list

Can an Ontario cannabis store deliver to my home?

Yes, if it chooses to. Since March 15, 2022 authorized stores may deliver with their own staff between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. to a residence or other private place in Ontario. The AGCO does not allow third-party couriers or delivery-only stores.

Who runs cannabis retail in Ontario?

Private companies own the stores and the AGCO authorizes them. The government's Ontario Cannabis Store is the wholesaler and the only legal online retailer, and it does not run physical shops.

Where can I smoke cannabis in Ontario?

Generally wherever tobacco smoking is allowed, including many sidewalks and parks. It is banned in enclosed workplaces, on restaurant and bar patios, within 20 metres of schools and playgrounds and in condo common areas, according to Ontario's rules.

Buying in Canada

  • Minimum age

18 in Alberta, 21 in Quebec, 19 in all other provinces and territories.

  • Possession

    30 g of dried cannabis or equivalent in public (1 g dried = 5 g fresh, 15 g edible solids, 70 g non-solid products, 570 g beverages, 0.25 g concentrates or 1 seed). Some provinces cap home storage, e.g. 150 g per residence in Quebec and 1,000 g per household in B.C.
