Vancouver strips, Island towns and how to tell a legal shop

Vancouver has 88 of our listings, then Victoria (29), Kelowna (20), Prince George (15), Nanaimo (14) and Kamloops (12). The register also shows how far the network reaches: 100 Percent Cannabis in Port Hardy and its sister shop in Port McNeill serve the north end of Vancouver Island, and 1904 Cannabis Company has counters in Ladysmith and Shawnigan Lake. One owner group may hold up to eight stores, a cap the province has reviewed since 2023.

• Decal and stamp: licensed stores display a government Licensed Cannabis Retailer decal, and legal products carry a green B.C. excise stamp.
• Delivery: from the shop's own staff between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m., or by a common carrier. Legal stores may ship non-medical cannabis only to customers inside B.C.
• Government stores: bccannabisstores.com ships anywhere in the province for a flat $6 plus tax, and needs two pieces of ID at the door.

The province warns that buying from illicit sellers can bring fines up to $5,000.
