Why do adult-use sales dwarf medical here?
Adult-use sales in Texico were nine times medical in that first month, and the newspaper read it as Texans crossing the line. The Cannabis Control Division's spokesperson, Heather Brewer, said there is no data separating Texan buyers from New Mexicans. Treat the pattern as a hint, not a count.
Which of the six share an address?
575 Grass Station lists 500 Wheeler St and Kustom Cannabis 500 Wheeler Ave, which reads like one building with two licences. Everest Apothecary appears twice, at 201 and 202 State St. Vana Society is at 205 Wheeler Ave. Check the unit before you drive. The state page covers who may buy.
Cannabis in Texico: questions
Is Texico in New Mexico or Texas?
New Mexico. The town lies on the state line, and its Texas neighbour is Farwell, so stores here sell under New Mexico licences only.
Can Texans carry purchases home?
Not legally. Texas does not recognise New Mexico purchases and federal law applies to any crossing of the state line.
