How it works

How cannabis is sold in Belen

Three licences sit on one block of South Main Street in Belen: Everest Apothecary at 203, Motavated at 207 and Cowboy Verde at 211.

What the reported rules add up to

The same report has visits and deliveries barred between midnight and 8 a.m., so a delivery app promising a 2 a.m. drop from a Belen shop is promising something the ordinance, as reported, does not allow. Along South Main, besides those three, Road Runner Organics is at 705 and Budding Bar and Dispensary at 804. Bubba's Buds is out on Highway 314. One record is a manufacturer licence on NM 47, and OCC ABQ lists an address in Rio Communities, a separate city just south, so the Belen tag on it is a stretch.

Belen or Los Lunas

Both are Valencia County towns on the Rio Grande south of Albuquerque. Los Lunas, a village, allows one commercial cannabis establishment for every 2,000 residents, per the same newspaper, so a map of the two towns will not look alike. Statewide rules for use and carry are in our New Mexico visitor guide.
