How cannabis is sold in Northampton

An address in Northampton is not always a shop: three of the 13 Verdex entries are delivery operators, and two of those, Ezdelivery on Conz Street and Gan Or on Damon Road, may have no counter at all.

  • Storefront or delivery? Ten entries are storefronts. Read the profile type before you plug the address into a map.
  • Strong Avenue pair. Alexsofia at 41 and Kccs at 26 are a short walk apart, useful when a menu sells out.
  • Main Street and King Street. Galil Greenery is at 235 Main; Apical is at 144 King Street; Enlite is out on Damon Road.
  • The first store. New England Treatment Access (NETA) at 118 Conz Street is the shop that opened on day one.

November 20, 2018

Customers queued for hours in cold rain. Mayor David Narkewicz bought a 50 mg chocolate bar, according to Boston.com, and the first day's takings for the state's two opening stores, NETA and Cultivate in Leicester, were about $440,000.

Eight years on

The Cannabis Control Commission said Massachusetts sales passed $10 billion on September 5, 2026, and counts 782 operating marijuana businesses. Northampton's first-mover position now meets Question 8 on the November 3 ballot, which would repeal licensed retail sales from January 1, 2028; poll figures reported by WBUR showed a majority against repeal.
