Cannabis in Pittsfield

You will be driving in Pittsfield, and the 11 listed shops are far enough apart that picking the wrong address costs a quarter of an hour.

• Group by road. East Street has Herbal Pathways at 1317 and Potency at 1450, the only real pair on the list.
• Find the long-standing name. Berkshire Roots at 501 Dalton Avenue says it has served medical patients since 2018 and adult-use customers since April 2019, and puts itself about 25 minutes from the New York line.
• Scan the outliers. Great Northern Wellness is on Elm Street, Green Biz on South Street, Slang on Larch Street, CloudNine Visions on Cheshire Road, J-BAM on Downing Industrial Parkway.
• Do not plan a lounge stop. The state approved social-consumption rules, but no Pittsfield licence for one is confirmed.

Before the Hudson Valley

New York also licenses adult-use sales, and neither state lets you carry product across the line. If you are travelling on toward the Hudson Valley, use it first or leave it at the hotel, and confirm the hotel permits it. The drive is a federal offence whatever either state allows.

One vote to watch
