What could change the map?
Massachusetts caps the host-community fee a city may charge a store at 3% of annual revenue, per Wikipedia's summary, and each city negotiates its own agreement. The seventh listing, Nova Farms, has no address in our data. Counted at 46,461 in 2020, Attleboro has seven stores is about 1.5 per 10,000. Rhode Island signed its own adult-use law on 25 May 2022, so the state line matters less than it once did.
The bigger question is on the ballot. Question 8 on 3 November 2026 would end licensed adult-use stores on 1 January 2028 if it passes, and medical marijuana would continue, according to CommonWealth Beacon's guide as summarised in our sales report. Stores stay open as normal until then. State rules are in the Massachusetts guide.
Cannabis in Attleboro: questions
Does Attleboro set its own limit on stores?

Would Question 8 close Attleboro's stores immediately?
No. It would end licensed adult-use sales from 1 January 2028, and the stores keep operating normally until then.
