Silver City's dispensaries bunch up around two streets: North Hudson, where Big Ranch sits at 909, and North Pope, where Buffalo Bud (910) and FCI of New Mexico (1001) face each other a block apart. Verdex lists 14 licensed retailers in total, with more on Silver Heights Boulevard and along US 180. Adults 21 and older can buy without a medical card, within the statewide possession caps. No Silver City store has a Verdex score yet, so this page is built from the New Mexico Cannabis Control Division licence register.

See the Red ListWhat the Town of Silver City decides
Zoning is local even though licences are state-issued. According to Town records, the council adopted Ordinance 1307 on November 9, 2021 to regulate cannabis establishments, amended it with Ordinance 1314 in September 2022 and approved Ordinance 1333 in November 2024. If a store you find is missing from the state's list but shows up on a map app, that gap is worth resolving before you spend money.
- Duplicates: Big Ranch appears twice at 909 N Hudson under two slightly different slugs. Treat them as one store until the register says otherwise.
- Consumption: some Silver City retailers advertise consumption lounges, including Buffalo Bud and a downtown store, but on-site use is legal only where the state has issued a consumption area licence. Ask to see it.
- Tax: New Mexico's cannabis excise is 14% since July 1, 2026, with local gross receipts tax added.
- Beyond town: the Gila National Forest and the surrounding wilderness are federal land, where possession stays illegal.
