Denver voters approved Initiative 300 on November 8, 2016, with 53.57% support, creating what Wikipedia calls the first US programme for limited public cannabis consumption. Today the brick-and-mortar lounges include Tetra in RiNo, Cirrus Social Club on East Colfax and Pure Elevations on South Santa Fe Drive, and The Patterson Inn is still in build-out, according to a Mile High Cannabis directory verified in May 2026.

Verdex lists 155 licensed stores, 27 with profiles. The top scores of 9.4 and 9.5 include Every Day Weed on East Evans Avenue, Seed & Smith on Oakland Street and Silver Stem Fine Cannabis on West Quincy Avenue. Buyers must be 21.

RiNo, University and the outer neighbourhoods

RiNo has Callie's and LivWell, both on Larimer Street. Near the University of Denver, Every Day Weed, formerly Star Buds, is at 1640 East Evans Avenue, with a second store on Cortez Street by Pecos; the Star Buds guide explains the name change.
