Boulder adds a 3.5% marijuana tax to its 3.86% sales tax on recreational sales, for a city rate of 7.36%, according to the City of Boulder. A single person may own no more than three dispensaries or wellness centres, and the local licence application fee is $2,500, on top of a state MED licence.
Verdex lists 18 stores, two of them rated 9.0: Terrapin Care Station on Folsom Street, founded in 2009, and The Farm on Iris Avenue, a woman-owned shop that began as a medical dispensary in 2009. You must be 21 for adult-use.
