Pueblo is the rare Colorado city whose own government taxes retail marijuana on top of the state. In March 2024 the City Council voted to set its retail marijuana excise tax at 10%, reversing a December 2023 suspension of the old 8% rate, according to KRDO. A customer aged 21 or over may take home at most 1 ounce of flower per visit.

Verdex lists 22 licence entries for 21 storefronts, because Three Rivers holds retail and medical licences at 1714 Santa Fe Drive. Options run from the Santa Fe Drive shops of Three Rivers Dispensary to Maggie's Farm and Livwell on North Interstate 25.

Two corridors, and what to check at the counter

Six entries are on Interstate 25: 2285, 2440, 2565 and 4803 North, and 3321 and 8910 South, the last being High Octane LLC. Santa Fe Drive holds three more storefronts, at 1714, 1805 and 1917. Then come stores on Thatcher Avenue, West Northern Avenue, West Highway 96, North Greenwood Street and Crane Ridge Drive. If you are driving between Colorado Springs and New Mexico, the interstate stores are the ones on the route.

  • Chain names: Three Rivers, Strawberry Fields, Nuvue Pharma and Doctor's Orders each appear at more than one address. The licence number is what separates them.
  • City rate: the 10% excise rate dates from the March 2024 ordinance; ask the store or the city finance office whether it has changed since.
  • Not Pueblo West: that community is unincorporated and licensed by the county, so see Pueblo West dispensaries.

Prices at the Pueblo I-25 stores are worth comparing against Colorado Springs and Denver, but take the shelf price, not a promotion banner. The Colorado guide lists the state limits, and a licence check on the Marijuana Enforcement Division site takes under a minute.
