Fifty licensed dispensaries in one city means Eugene shoppers can compare more than almost anywhere in Oregon outside Portland. Verdex lists stores from Dreams Dispensary on Willamette St to Dark Matter Cannabis on Franklin Blvd, Apothca on Alder St and Cookies on High St. Adults 21 and over may buy up to 2 ounces of flower a day from OLCC licensees. The City of Eugene adds its own 3% tax on retail sales, collected at the register. No Eugene store carries a Verdex score yet, so the order below is a register order, not a ranking of quality. Start with the map, not the position in the list.

Choosing among fifty: price, proximity and the Springfield line

The City of Eugene says its 3% tax has applied since January 1, 2017, with retailers remitting through the Oregon Department of Revenue every month. The tax is city-specific: Springfield, just across the river, has its own ordinance and its own store list.

  • Near campus: Apothca (1205 Alder St), Cookies (1158 High St) and Dreams Dispensary (1111 Willamette St) sit in the downtown and campus-side grid.
  • West and south: Cannabis On-time (1985 W 7th Ave), Better Daze (1910 Empire Park Dr) and Amazon Organics (3443 Hilyard St).
  • East side: Canna Leaf Eugene Inc. sits at 485 E Broadway.

With this many choices, shop by product detail rather than by menu discounts: harvest date, terpene percentages and a batch-level lab result are the useful signals, and our label guide explains how to read them. Cannabis is not allowed in public places, including the sidewalks outside the stores.
