Manhattan dispensaries: 104 licensed cannabis stores

Uptown, downtown and the lounge question

North of Midtown the stores thin out: Emerald Dispensary at 1190 Lexington, Nucleus at 1819 2nd Avenue, Superfly at 57 W 86th Street and Sparkboro on W 177th Street by the 175th Street A stop. Cannabis on Lex at 459 Lexington is near Grand Central. Downtown, Housing Works Cannabis Co. at 750 Broadway, by Astor Place, is the store that started New York's legal sales at 4:20 p.m. on December 29, 2022, according to its press release.

• Lounges: industry guides said in spring 2026 that the state had not begun issuing consumption-lounge licences, so treat a 'cannabis lounge' with suspicion until you find its OCM licence.
• Delivery: allowed for licensed retailers under a separate licence category; confirm the courier's licence.
• Tax: 13% at the till, and no ordinary sales tax is added on top.

NY1 reported that Pure Blossoms became the state's 600th licensed dispensary on March 31, 2026, so the count keeps moving. Verdex's 104 is a register count, not a walking-distance map. For fakes, read our licensed versus unlicensed guide; the wider rules are on the New York page.
