Oregon has no sales tax and Vancouver is across the Columbia River from it, so a Clark County cannabis shop competes with Portland-area stores on price. In February 2026 The Columbian reported a local owner fearing that tax bills in Olympia would push buyers to Oregon or the illicit market. Verdex lists 16 licensed stores in Vancouver, including three named Main Street Marijuana and two Craft Cannabis branches. Adults 21 and over with photo ID can buy up to 1 ounce of flower or 7 grams of concentrate. None of the 16 has a Verdex score yet, so the list follows the state licence register.

- Both sides of the river: the 37% state excise plus Washington sales tax is added at the register; Oregon adds 17% and up to 3% locally but has no sales tax, per the Oregon Department of Revenue.
- The state line: buying is legal in both states, but carrying cannabis between them is not, so do not cross the Interstate Bridge with a bag.
- Tax debate: the Legislature asked the LCB for a revenue-neutral plan taxing higher-THC products more, due September 18, 2026; any change would need new legislation.
