Seattle has no cannabis store in the state's top ten by sales, according to a Seattle Red analysis of 2025 figures, and its top performer, Kush21 Sodo, ranked twelfth at $6.7 million. That makes the Verdex scores more useful than sales rank. The leaders at 9.4 are A Greener Today on MLK Way S, Canna West Seattle, Greenworks Cannabis in Greenwood and Have a Heart in Belltown. Buyers must be 21 with photo ID and may buy up to 1 ounce of flower, 7 grams of concentrate or 16 ounces of solid edibles. Scores run from 9.2 to 9.4 among the eight leaders.

By neighbourhood, and where you can use it

Belltown has Shawn Kemp's Cannabis on 1st Ave and Have a Heart on Blanchard St. North Seattle has Greenworks (N 105th St) and Seattle Tonics on Aurora Ave N. Super Chronic Club is at 23rd and Union in the Central District; West Seattle has Canna West on California Ave SW; the south end has A Greener Today and its Burien-side sister on Myers Way S.

  • Shelf price vs receipt: 37% state excise on the shelf price, plus Seattle sales tax, per the Liquor and Cannabis Board.
  • Public use: the Seattle criminal code bars opening or consuming cannabis in view of the public, including parks; the Seattle Times reported the fine as $27 when the council adopted it, and warnings usually come first.
  • Hotels and rentals: many do not allow smoking inside; ask before you book.
