Zips Cannabis Downtown Tacoma sold about $10.3 million in 2025, the highest of any Washington store, according to a Seattle Red analysis. The same report counts seven Tacoma stores in the state's top 50 (roughly $51 million) and about 11 in Pierce County. Verdex lists 18 licensed Tacoma stores, including Bloom on Pacific Ave S, Craft Tacoma on S 37th St and Emerald Leaves on 6th Ave. Buyers must be 21 with photo ID and may buy up to 1 ounce of flower. Verdex does not yet score any of the 18 Tacoma stores, so this list is a register, not a ranking, and sales rank says nothing about quality.

Addresses gather along the south-end grid: Dank's Tacoma at 2632 S 38th St, Craft Tacoma at 2128 S 37th St, Diamond Green on S 12th St, House Of Cannabis at 764 S 56th St and the two Clear Choice Cannabis stores (8001 S Hosmer St and 317 S 72nd St).

  • Register: Washington's 37% excise is collected at the register with sales tax.
  • Tribal retail: the Puyallup Tribe's Commencement Bay Cannabis brand opened a Fife store in 2017 and announced a Tacoma store on E 30th St, HeraldNet and the tribe report; tribal stores collect an equivalent tax that the tribe keeps, so ask what applies.
  • Tax debate: the LCB's report on a revenue-neutral tax that hits higher-THC products harder was due September 18, 2026, and any change would need new legislation.
