Six of Cambridge's licensed dispensaries sit on one street. Verdex's addresses put shops on Massachusetts Avenue at 567, 580, 759, 1686, 1960 and 2447. Among them are Good Nature Central, GreenSoul Organics and Budega. Good Nature Harvard is on Church Street, in the Harvard Square core.

Verdex lists 13 businesses licensed by the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC), each with a state licence record. Buyers need to be 21 and show a government-issued photo ID, and the limit is 2 ounces of flower per transaction under the CCC's April 2026 order.

Why Cambridge's shops arrived late

Cambridge set up its own permitting in 2018, and from September 2019 to September 2021 it accepted only economic empowerment applicants, according to the Harvard Crimson. Legal challenges and pandemic delays followed, so shops opened years after the state's 2018 launch. The Crimson reports that Western Front became the first dispensary in Harvard Square in 2023. Western Front has a second listing on Winthrop Street, and Advesa is out on Cambridge Street toward Inman.

  • Delivery: Wonderland Dispensary & Delivery on Kirkland Street is listed with both a store and a delivery licence.
  • First visit: the first-visit guide covers payment methods and what to ask staff.

Cambridge is a college city, but a shop's willingness to sell does not change campus rules: federal law still prohibits marijuana, and universities that receive federal funds set their own policies for dorms and buildings. Budega, at 1686 Massachusetts Avenue, and KG Collective, on Mount Auburn Street, are also listed; check hours by phone, since Verdex does not yet hold full schedules for these shops.

Questions about this list

Is Harvard Square home to a dispensary?

Yes. Verdex lists Good Nature Harvard on Church Street, and the Harvard Crimson reported Western Front opening in the square in 2023. Both must hold a CCC licence, so verify the number before you go.

Can Cambridge dispensaries sell to out-of-state students?

State law allows anyone 21 or older with a valid government ID to buy, whatever their home state. Carrying cannabis across a state line remains illegal under federal law.
