Thirty-six Boston dispensaries are on Verdex's list, and where you are standing decides which one is practical. BOUTIQ East Boston is in Maverick Square beside the Blue Line, Firebrand Cannabis faces South Station on Atlantic Avenue, and New Día Cannabis Co. runs a large store by Fenway Park that its profile says stays open to midnight.
Adults 21 and over with a government photo ID can buy, including visitors from other states. Since April 19, 2026, Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) Administrative Order No. 6 has capped a sale at 2 ounces of flower or its equivalent, and every store on this page holds a CCC licence number beginning MR.

Verdex's addresses cluster on a few long streets: Cambridge Street, Blue Hill Avenue, Hyde Park Avenue and Washington Street each carry three listings. Dorchester has Ethos at 50 Clapp Street near JFK/UMass, and High Profile x Budega runs three co-branded shops across Dorchester, Roxbury and Roslindale. Allston has Mayflower on Harvard Avenue. The list also includes delivery operators, which have no counter to visit.
- Check the licence: the MR number should match the CCC's public licensee directory; the licence-check guide walks through it.
- Tax: the CCC lists 10.75% excise plus 6.25% sales tax, and Boston can add up to 3%.
- Deals: a CCC bulletin of September 25, 2026 says stores may not advertise discounts on online menus, so ask at the counter.
Two dates matter this autumn. Voters decide Question 8 on November 3, 2026, which would end legal retail sales from January 1, 2028; stores operate normally until then. And no on-site consumption licence had been issued by September 2026, so buy here and use at home.
Questions about this list
Can I buy cannabis in Boston if I live out of state?
Yes. Massachusetts stores sell to anyone 21 or older with a valid government photo ID, and no residency check applies. Use is not allowed in public, so plan to consume where you are staying, if the host or hotel permits it.
Are there cannabis lounges in Boston?
Not yet. The CCC approved social consumption rules in December 2025, but no licence had been issued by September 2026, and a city must also opt in and negotiate a host agreement before one can open.
