What limits the count
Camden's recreational cannabis ordinance, MC-5371, was adopted on 8 February 2022 and sets a number of licences per class in named zones, according to the city. Crossing a bridge to Pennsylvania with a purchase is a different matter; carrying cannabis over a state line is a federal offence, and the other side has its own law. The New Jersey guide covers what a first visit involves.
New Jersey's first legal adult-use sales began on 21 April 2022, about ten weeks after Camden adopted its ordinance. The register's five Camden entries are all dispensaries, and none is a delivery or lounge licence.
