About “dizzy”
The mechanism is old news. Jones (Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, 2002) summarized that THC raises heart rate and on occasion produces marked orthostatic hypotension, a pressure drop on standing, and that tolerance to these effects appears rapidly with repeated use. Health Canada says lower blood pressure can make people faint and that a faster heart rate can be dangerous with heart conditions.
The strain pages show how ordinary it is: 42 of 74 published profiles list dizziness, from Northern Lights to Charlotte's Web. Because the cause is a pressure drop, the practical response is to sit or lie down before it becomes a faint. Alcohol adds its own effects; the mixing guide has the details.
When it needs a doctor
Health Canada lists chest pain with a rapid heartbeat as a reason for immediate medical attention or a call to a poison center. Fainting, or dizziness that persists once the effects have faded, is a question for a doctor, not a strain.
