How it works

How cannabis is sold in Pittsburgh

You cannot buy cannabis in Pittsburgh without a Pennsylvania medical card, and the budget signed on 12 July 2026 again left adult-use legalisation out, according to press coverage of the deal.

  • Bring the card first. Every listing here is a medical dispensary under the 2016 Medical Marijuana Act. The card guide explains eligibility and limits.
  • Read the neighbourhood. Beyond Hello is at 2009 East Carson Street, Delta 9 PA at 211 52nd Street and Maitri Medicinals at 5845 Centre Avenue. Maitri's own site lists 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
  • Compare McKnight Road. Zenleaf is at 4778 and Organic Remedies at 7402, both on the same road north of the city.
  • Verify the odd one. Ethos Cannabis is listed at 470 Home Drive, so confirm the municipality on its permit.

Why adult use has not arrived

Governor Shapiro included adult-use legalisation in his 2025-26 budget proposal, with sales to start on 1 January 2026. The split legislature did not pass it, and the state budget signed on 12 July 2026 left it out again. Until a law passes, the medical market is the only legal one in Pittsburgh.
