Golden Gate Cannabis Company

Golden Gate Cannabis Company is a licensed medical and adult-use dispensary at 500 Jones Street, on the corner of the Tenderloin a few blocks uphill from Union Square (94102). It appears in the California Department of Cannabis Control register under retail license C10-0000755-LIC.

Weedmaps lists it open every day from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM. The listing marks it as in-store purchase only, with curbside pickup, an ATM, security staff and an accessible entrance. There is no delivery. Adults 21+ need a valid ID; medical customers 18+ need a physician’s recommendation.

The shop has built a large review base quickly: Weedmaps shows a 4.9 average across 103 star ratings and 634 written reviews. Several reviewers describe the space as roomy and clean, and one notes the building used to be a liquor store. The recurring points in recent reviews:

• staff who answer questions without talking down to newcomers;
• a wide menu and deals that pull in first-time visitors;
• regulars who call it their default stop after months of visits.

Complaints are rare and specific. One reviewer was let down by a bag of small buds whose density varied a lot from nug to nug, and blamed the brand rather than the store. If you are after a particular product, check the live menu before walking over, since stock on popular items can move fast.
