Kamloops council once unanimously refused a development variance for a cannabis store on Victoria Street because sales locations must be at least 100 metres apart, Castanet reported. Two stores on Verdex's list trade on that street, at 320 and 519 Victoria Street. Verdex lists 12 stores licensed by the B.C. Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB) in Kamloops.

The minimum age is 19, and a purchase is limited to 30 grams. All entries are register records without ratings yet, so each page carries the licence details instead of a score. Examples include Dazed Cannabis and Shades of Green Cannabis downtown, and Bean Cannabis Shop on Dallas Drive.

Where Kamloops puts its stores

Kamloops council zoned cannabis stores into the same areas as liquor stores, with a 100-metre buffer between stores and 150 metres from schools, according to reporting by CFJC and Kamloops This Week. Staff had proposed 150 metres between stores; council cut it to 100 after community feedback. The addresses on our list follow that pattern, on separate commercial strips.
