A UK pharmacy may not supply a controlled drug more than 28 days after the date on the prescription, so a cannabis prescription left unfilled for a month is no use. Verdex lists 12 pharmacies, all verified.
Lyphe Dispensary in Farnborough sends tracked Royal Mail Special Delivery, Curaleaf Pharmacy in Sunderland is owned by Rokshaw Ltd, Phlo Pharmacy, a digital pharmacy at Containerville in east London, began home-delivering in 2022, and Hopwoods Pharmacy in Llanedeyrn, Cardiff (GPhC number 9011088) fills prescriptions for collection through a Curaleaf partnership. The pharmacies sit in England, Scotland and Wales; Northern Ireland has its own regulations.

Whatever the model, the rules that bind the pharmacy are the same: it must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, and Verdex's guides advise asking if you may use a different pharmacy and if its range is limited to partner products. Premises numbers can be looked up on the register before you send money: Verdex records 9012425 for Lyphe and 9012275 for Curaleaf Pharmacy. Welsh patients mostly rely on English postal pharmacies, since few prescribers have a base in Wales, which makes Hopwoods unusual.

How long is a UK cannabis prescription valid for dispensing?
A pharmacy cannot supply a controlled drug more than 28 days after the prescription's date, under regulation 16 of the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001. If the date passes, the prescriber has to issue a new one.
Can any high street pharmacy dispense medical cannabis?
Not necessarily. Most prescriptions go from a clinic to a partner pharmacy, and stock is imported and unlicensed. Verdex lists Hopwoods in Cardiff as one that dispenses for collection, but ask before travelling.
Can medical cannabis be delivered to my home in the UK?
Yes, pharmacies on this list do it: Lyphe Dispensary sends tracked Royal Mail Special Delivery and Phlo Pharmacy home-delivers, according to their Verdex profiles. Confirm the pharmacy's delivery terms before your prescription date starts the 28-day clock.
