  • Possession

    Adults 18+: up to 25 g in public and up to 50 g at home.

  • Home grow

    Up to three plants per adult at their residence.

  • Clubs

    Non-commercial associations of up to 500 members living in Germany; 25 g/day and 50 g/month per member (18–20: 30 g/month, max 10% THC).

  • Sales

    No licensed shops; commercial sale outside pharmacies remains a criminal offense.

  • Public use

    Banned within sight of schools, playgrounds, youth and sports facilities, on club premises, and in pedestrian zones from 07:00 to 20:00.

  • Advertising

    General ban on advertising and sponsorship for cannabis and cultivation associations (KCanG §6).

  • Medical cannabis

    Ordinary prescription since April 2024; telemedicine and mail order legal as of September 2026; statutory insurance no longer covers flower since 29 July 2026.

  • Driving

    A legal THC limit for drivers was introduced in August 2024, with special rules for novice drivers and mixed alcohol use.
