A grower, not a seller

DEMECAN grows under a BfArM permit, and its flower reaches patients only through pharmacies. Nobody buys at the gate. Management told Oiger it may look at Poland, Czechia, Britain and Switzerland and depends partly on future pilot projects.

What that means for Ebersbach residents

For scale, a Verdex news item reports BfArM revising first-quarter 2026 medical cannabis imports up to 67.6 tonnes, so four home-grown tonnes a year stay a small part of supply.
