How cannabis is sold in Nijmegen
Start at Vlaamsegas, a short street in the old centre, because that is where the single Nijmegen coffeeshop on our register trades.
| Where | Shop | What the register records |
|---|---|---|
| Vlaamsegas 30 | Coffeeshop Kronkel | Trading since 1986, with bar, kitchen and roof terrace; open 09:00 to 01:00; Verdex score 8.5 |
What changed on the counter
The city's own experiment page dates the steps: an introduction phase from 17 June 2024, the full experiment phase from 7 April 2025, and enforcement on regulated hash from 1 September 2025. Growers deliver in track-and-trace transport, and the food safety authority NVWA checks the product. A shop that has traded since 1986 therefore now stocks nothing it bought on the old grey supply line.
One row is not the city. The register carries only what we could match, and Nijmegen may have more licensed shops than we list. Check the municipality before you assume the count. Prices and strains move faster than any guide, so our first-results piece is the better place for those, and the Gelderland page places Nijmegen next to Arnhem, the other trial town in the province.
Cannabis in Nijmegen: questions
Is Nijmegen residents-only?
The trial's residents-only rule applies in Maastricht, Breda and Heerlen, according to the national experiment pages. Nijmegen is not among them, but staff still check age at the door.
Why does Kronkel sell only trial cannabis?
Because every coffeeshop in an experiment municipality must take supply from the designated growers since 7 April 2025.
