Banned in public places and within 5 m of them; J$500 ticket. Allowed at private homes, licensed smoking areas and registered Rastafarian places of worship.
Religious use
Rastafarian sacramental use is exempt; adherents 18+ may apply to cultivate for sacramental purposes, and faith events can be declared exempt.
Hemp and CBD
Hemp (under 1% THC) is excluded from the ganja offenses but licensed by the CLA.
Export
Individuals may not take ganja out of Jamaica; only licensed export under CLA import-export rules.
